Sažetak
An efficient computational strategy for modelling of highly nonlinear hardening responses in elastoplastic analysis of shell structures has been proposed. A closest point projection algorithm employing the Reissner-Mindlin type kinematic model, completely formulated in tensor notation, is presented. A consistent elastoplastic tangent modulus is derived which is found to be unsymmetrical. By using its symmetrized form the quadratic convergence rate in Newton Raphson iteration approach is exhibited, as the numerical examples illustrate. The integration algorithm has been implemented into a layered assumed strain isoparametric finite element, which also permits simulation of geometrical nonlinearity including finite rotations.
