Sažetak
The assistance and care of a sick member can be harmful unless adequate support is obtained ; involves many stressors such as changing family dynamics and social functioning and financial pressure. Nursing rewards, if any, are immaterial and often disproportionate to the effort put into it. Constant care for a sick member, the rise of stress and frustration, leads to the onset of anxiety-depressive symptoms in family members caring for a sick person. Nursing is a job, and a vacation is something a caregiver has earned, whether he or she is an expert or a family member. It is important to instruct the caregiver to accept the help of the people around them and to rationalize the time they can devote to the affected person.
