Sažetak
The thermal properties of clothing in most products are still not designed according to engineering science for most products due to the lack of simple and acceptable measuring equipment and methods, so the number of layers of clothing, the type of thermal insulation material and their thickness are chosen empirically. A new measuring device and method for simultaneous measurements in determining the thermal resistance in one or more layers of clothing composites and temperature gradients of composite layers are presented, as well as the theoretical principles of operation and practical results. At the Faculty of Textile Technology, for many years now, there has been a scientific-innovative team that deals with the development of new measuring devices and the establishment of measuring methods. The latest realized measurement equipment and method for the simultaneous determination of thermal resistance and temperature gradients of layers of clothing composites has been protected by the State Intellectual Property Office, and were realized within the HRZZ project IP-2018-01- 6363. Clothing technology does not have a long tradition of measurement and metrology techniques needed to test the properties of materials required for the technical design of garments. Therefore, the introduction of a new measurement method for the simultaneous measurement of thermal resistance and temperature gradients is an important novelty for the field of clothing engineering. The novelty is that the measurements of two important parameters for the design of the thermal properties of clothing and of composite clothing (thermal resistance and values of temperature gradients) are carried out simultaneously with one measuring system.
