Sažetak
We analysed the Iridaceae and Orchidaceae families (Ord. Irideen and Orchideen) in Carl Studniczka’s herbarium (herbarium code NHMS). Most of the analysed herbal material (185 herbarium sheets, with 562 samples of herbal plants) in this part of the C. Studniczka’s herbarium were collected in Europe (174 herbarium sheets). According to the labels, the majority of herborized material was collected in the area of Austria (51 herbarium sheets). Most herbarium sheets belong to Flora Dalmatiens collection (including Flora von Dalmatien) (31). Most herbarium sheets were collected by Studniczka himself (97). The oldest herbarium sheets dates from 1861, whereas the newest one date from 1903. The exact year of collection is missing from 20 herbarium labels.
