Sažetak
Wheat is one of the most widespread cereals in the world and the second most dominant field crop in Croatia. The aim of this study was to determine the yield, yield components and some morphological properties of eight different cultivars of winter wheat. The research was conducted during the wheat vegetation 2018/2019 on the surfaces of the Faculty of Agrobiotechnical Sciences Osijek in four repetitions. Weather conditions during vegetation were relatively favourable for wheat cultivation, with certain deviations in the amount of precipitation, and temperatures were on average 2 ° C higher. Analysis of variance showed a statistically significant influence of cultivar on yield, yield components and examined morphological parameters. The average yield of tested wheat cultivars in the harvest was high as 10.8 t ha-1. Significantly the highest yield was achieved by the cultivar Tata Mata, although it did not differ significantly from the other three cultivars (Bc Anica, Tika Taka and Kraljica), and the lowest yield was achieved by the cultivar Srpanjka. Research has shown that cultivar selection is an important measure for achieving high yields.
