Sažetak
An expression for the mathematical description of the stress-strain diagram in the form of odd polynomials of the n-th order has been proposed. Particularly, application of polynomial of the third order was successful. Nonlinear bending of the beams having cross sections with one axis of symmetry is analyzed in view of the new expression. New concepts of the moments of inertia of the third and fourth order as well as section modulus of the fourth order are introduced.
