Sažetak
Circular economy approach model suggests elimination of waste and the continual use of resources throughout the whole life cycle of a process and its components. In industrial practice, wastewater is not more treated as a waste, but as a resource. In this light, there is a need for technological innovation to transform the way the wastewater is treated, distributed and reuse. Sorption on a new sorbent is recognizing as a process which can be implemented to increase the industrial water reuse to highest level. This paper analyses the potential and limitation of implementation of circular economy approach in application of natural zeolite in wastewater treatment. In this light, analysis of the processing efficiency, the possibility of sequential regeneration of the zeolite and the reuse of zeolites and the obtain products have been examined. Based on the obtained results, an analysis of the acceptability of the application of the batch process and the process in the column for wastewater treatment with natural zeolite according to the circular economy approach model will be evaluated and discussed.
