Sažetak
The paper aims at providing information on the research on the legislative frame and practices in arbitration in Central and Eastern Europe. Arbitration in the former socialist countries of central and Eastern Europe has a long-standing tradition which was partly interrupted by Communist regimes that ruled these countries for several decades. That is the main reason why it has some common features. The authors are reviewing the arbitration practices in Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Estonia, Poland, Romania, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Kosovo, Latvia, Lithuania, Northern Macedonia Moldova, Montenegro, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia over 10 relevant topics including the development of arbitration practice, sources, specific characteristics of international arbitration, arbitration agreement, conduct of arbitral proceedings, interrelation between arbitration and mediation, recognition and enforcement of arbitral awards and other.
