Sažetak
This article investigates an application of logistics processes modeling and simulations in the framework of Business Process Management (BPM). Identifying parts of logistics processes that could be optimized are shown in a real-life case study in a Croatian logistics company. The logistics process of shipment return to the supplier is modeled using ARIS software. Raising the service level or developing new logistics services requires a better understanding of logistics processes and possibilities of optimization. Process weaknesses are often hard to see, as they are hidden in the organization. These weaknesses cause optimization effort not to give full potential or even fail. Simulation results analyses identify respective process weaknesses.
