Sažetak
The aim of this paper is to investigate the influence of heat and optimise the process of crosslinking inclusion complex β-cyclodextrine- essential oil with cotton cellulose. Fourier transformed infrared spectrometer with heated unit ATR up to 300 °C was used for this purpose. The influence of heat on the untreated sample and the treated samples before was carried out at the temperature of 150 ⁰ C, 170 ⁰C, and 180 ⁰C, for 90 and 150 seconds, in order to determine the physico-chemical changes indicating the precise choice of the temperature at which crosslinking occurs. This method indicated the possibility of determining physico-chemical changes within the treated sample under the influence of heat and thermocondensation was performed at 180 °C. Thereafter, the samples were subjected to a washing cycle in accordance with ISO 6330: 2012 in order to monitor the durability of the treatment. The Fourier transformed infrared spectrometric method was used to monitor physicochemical changes on all samples with monitoring of the degree of esterification. In order to determine the presence of β-cyclodextrin-essential oil on cellulosic material, the samples were observed by Field- Emission Scanning Electron Microscopy, and all samples showed the presence of β-cyclodextrin essential oil particles before the wash cycle, after washing the amount of β-cyclodextrin essential oil particles are less.
