Sažetak
Chromium and vanadium are capable of forming surface carbide coatings of various stechiometries that are mostly used for increasing wear and corrosion resistance of metallic components. The persistence of protective effect of the carbide layer is dependent on the carbide protective ability, initial porosity of the coating as well as the porosity development with the time of exposure to corrosive influence. A novel measurment technique of corrosion resistance, that uses a flexible, surface-mounted paste- electrolyte electrode suitable for laboratory and field use and is based on measuring complex resistance spectrum in a wide frequency range of input AC signal, has been applied. Chromium carbide coatings without and with Cu addition on ductile cast iron and a vanadium carbide coating on 12% Cr K190 tool steel, produced by Thermoreactive diffusion (TDR) process, have been analyzed. Krom i vanadij mogu tvoriti površinske karbidne prevlake različitih stehiometrija koje se uglavnom primjenjuju za povećanje tvrdoće i otpornost na trošenje metalnih komponenti. Korozijska postojanost karbida ovisi o barijernim svojstvima karbida, odnosno početnoj poroznosti sloja kao i o razvoju poroznosti s vremenom izloženosti korozivnom utjecaju. U ovom radu primjenjena je nova tehnika ispitivanja korozijske otpornosti koja koristi fleksibilnu, površinski postavljenu elektrodu s pastoznim elektrolitom pogodnu za laboratorijsku i terensku uporabu, a temelji se na mjerenju spektra kompleksnog otpora u širokom frekvencijskom području ulaznog AC signala. Ponašanje Cr-C slojeva bez i sa dodatkom bakra proizvedenih TDR procesom na nodularnom lijevu uspoređeno je s ponašanjem V-C sloja proizvedenog istim postupkom na alatnom čeliku.
