Sažetak
Maritime port of Korčula is a passenger port open for national and international traffic situated in the very centre of the City of Korčula, in the walking distance of the old town. In this paper infrastructure as well as passenger and vehicle traffic in the current area of the port of Korčula has been analysed, together with the plans for the new port, to answer two main research questions: What is the current situation in the port, especially after the impact of COVID-19 epidemic in 2020? and What benefits will enable the construction of the new port? Quantitative analyses have been primarily based on the data and reports of County Port Authority of Korčula which manages area of the port of Korčula. Preformed analyses show that COVID-19 epidemic had a great impact on the traffic dynamics in the port of Korčula in 2020.
