Sažetak
The Earth's climate is changing rapidly, and this change can be seen through the occurrence of weather disasters that have become more frequent recently - high temperatures, storms, floods, droughts, fires, etc. It is predicted that an increase in temperature by 10°C could reduce agricultural yields up to 10%, except in areas at higher altitudes. The most vulnerable to climate change are South Asia and Africa. On the other hand, in Europe, according to some projections, climate change is likely to increase the productivity of European agricultural systems, primarily due to increased CO2 concentrations that will directly increase crop resource utilization, while increasing temperatures would create more favorable conditions for crop production in Northern Europe. Climate change will seriously threaten the livelihoods of poor people who depend on agriculture with limited adaptation capacity in developing countries. A well-designed rural development policy can make a significant contribution to mitigating the risks of climate change.
