Sažetak
In Croatia and Slovenia uncontested debts are normally certified within the procedure for issuing enforcement orders on the basis of a trustworthy document. The Austrian procedure of Mahnverfahren, on the other hand, is considered as the prototype of an efficient certification procedure for uncontested debt even at the European level. The paper presents a comparative analysis of the similarities and differences between these two procedure in terms of their nature and organisation (competence, manner of processing large numbers of applications, securing debtor protection, costs) in order to propose solutions which would improve the Croatian system of uncontested debt certification de lege ferenda.
