Sažetak
The overall objective of LOCOMOTION is to enhance existing Integrated Assessment Models (IAMs) in order to provide policy makers and relevant stakeholders with a reliable and practical model system to assess the feasibility, effectiveness, costs and impacts of different sustainability policy options, and to identify the most effective transition pathways towards a low-carbon society. Focusing on storylines/narratives that describe broad socioeconomic trends that could be followed by societies in the future, this Deliverable provides context for the WILAM model. It includes compilation of LOCOMOTION storylines on the basis of the existing or revised/adapted storylines usually applied in global environmental assessments and takes into account the preferences of stakeholders. Furthermore, within this Deliverable, the WILIAM overall goals have been linked to storylines and storyline goals (drivers) specifically. Finally, in coordination with modelling teams, initial qualitative interpretation of the storylines is conducted in order to provide meaningful model inputs for the quantification and simulation of different scenarios.
