Sažetak
In this paper, we discuss how the original configuration for evaluation of relative permittivity of unknown material, which is based on a microstrip ring resonator and the use of a variational method, may be simplified without the actual loss of accuracy. This simplification is applied simultaneously to the numerical algorithm and the measurement configuration.
