Sažetak
During the last decades, human rights of persons with disabilities have become the focus of majority of developed countries. Different topics about rights, support, and quality of life of persons with disabilities have become central themes in many international documents and laws. COVID-19 pandemic has great impact on realisation of human rights of persons with disabilities. Persons with disabilities´ quality of life, support system and opportunity of realisation of their human rights have been changed. Their ability to gain formal support, to be included in community, to be protected from different forms of discrimination, or to realize some human rights defined by laws have been changed. Although international and national organization have put great effort to ensure that every person with disability has the opportunity to realise his/her human rights, there are many examples of violation of human rights of persons with disabilities in the whole world. The aim of this paper is to summarize and discuss different international documents and papers about human rights of persons with disabilities, to discuss how formal support system has responded to the realisation of human rights of persons with disabilities during COVID- 19 pandemic, and to understand the impact of COVID-19 pandemic on persons with disabilities´ human rights. Finally, one of the aims is to raise the awareness of professionals about the importance of formal support system, especially social services, on the realisation of human rights of persons with disabilities during and after COVID-19 pandemic.
