Sažetak
The aim of this paper is to make a preliminary design of protection against scour of the Šamac bridge based on the established existing condition. The aim of the work is to protect the riverbeds and shores from scour and further erosion in the area surrounding the bridge. The bases used for the design are geodetic, hydrological and geo-mechanical, which were also used to obtain input parameters for the calculation of the existing condition of the riverbed. The selected solution for the protection of shores from erosion is the construction of riverbank fortifications on the left and right banks and the construction of a stone embankment or rip-rap for the protection of the riverbed. Calculations of the functionality of the 2D model were performed for the selected solutions in the HEC-RAS program, along with calculation of the structure of the selected solution on several characteristic hydrological events and calculation of the stability of the structure.
