Sažetak
The effects of heat treatment parameters on microstructure and mechanical properties in low-alloyed cast steel, quality LC3, have been studied. This steel is specified according to ASTM A 352, which covers ferritic and martensitic steel castings for pressure containing parts and other application for low temperature service. The specimens were normalised and tempered as well as quenched and tempered at different temperatures. Tensile properties and impact toughness as one of the criteria of selection for low temperature service are considered in relation to obtained microstructure and heat treatment parameters. Charpy V-notch impact values were measered at -101°C. The correlation between mechanical properties and tempering temperatures was determined.
