Sažetak
This study has been directed towards determining of the existing limitating factors in the performance of a comprehensive transport service on the Rijeka transportation route. It has been aimed at pointing to different tariffing policy concerning transport services, that results in the first place from a confuse and still inadequately evaluated and coordinated national traffic and maritime policies. As yet, Croatian traffic and maritime transport system has not included either any determined or scientifically evaluated role of the port system, thus causing the development of maritime and transport activities, with sea ports consequently included, to be subject to unorganized and uncontrolled development that on a long-term basis lead to stagnation and losing of the position gained so far. The results achieved by this paper have been based on analyses of the existing limiting factors affecting the transport service total price level on the Rijeka transportation route and pointing to the need for coordination principles, measures and targets to be determined.
