Sažetak
Cast to handstand in young gymnast categories is one of the most challenging element at uneven bars. It involves a large amount of strength, balance and flexibility. The sample of this research consisted of 35 gymnasts female junior gymnasts competitors in qualifications at the international competition. The sample of variables consisted of 35 straight body cast to handstand performed at the low bar. The aim of the study was to examine differences between variables of successfully and unsuccessfully performed casts in young elite female gymnasts. The results of the Independent T-test showed significant difference between two groups of handstand in the variables: hip angle (p=.04), Hstd (p=.00), Hip (p=.00), Elbow (p=.00), and Deduction (p=.00). Analysis of the results suggests that the angular variables are related to the deduction, as opposite to the time variables. Further research is needed, especially with better and more modern kinematic analysis equipment.
