Sažetak
Trace elements concentraton in honey can be used as an environmental pollution indicator, characterising the level of soil, plant and air pollution in the area of several square kilometers. This work reports of qualitative and quantitative determination of metals in honey by thin layer chromatoggraphy. The method comprises sample digestion in a microwave oven with nitric acid and hydrogen poroxide, separation of the samples on the TLC RP-18 pre-coated layers (Merck) in isopentanol-methanol-acetonitrile-water- HCl developer and quantification by CCD video densitometry. The developed chromatogram was visualised by spraying with dithisone and PAN solutions producing coloured spots on the yellow background. CAMAG Video dokumentation system porformed image capturing and data evaluation. Each image was quantitatively evaluated after compensation of the yellow background using CAMAG Video Scan 1.01 software.
