Sažetak
The COVID-19 pandemic led to probably the biggest crash in the history of the tourism industry. However, the pandemic is seen by many as a possible turning point in tourism, which could be seen as a chance to give more importance to the quality of future tourism and more environmentally sustainable travel. Under the given conditions, slow tourism has all the potential to respond to new trends. Slow tourism is a form of alternative tourism that advocates for the tourist experience, slowing down the pace, preserving the environment, and increasing the quality of the tourist experience by connecting tourists with the destination. The aim of this paper is to show what are the possibilities provided by slow tourism the period after the COVID-19 pandemic in the Republic of Serbia, using examples of good practices from the Republic of Croatia, which saw its possible development benefits.
