Sažetak
A method for the determination of the filament"s height from the measured value of the projected width is shortly described. The method was tested using H-alpha solar patrol observations of Sonnenobservatorium Kanzelhoehe, Austria. The height of the observed filament was estimated independently using the measured projected width of the filament"s contour during the passage over the solar disk and measuring directly the height on the limb in order to compare the results.
