Sažetak
The aim of this scientific research work was to determine generic kinesiology competences of the various sports coaches (basketball, volleyball, boxing, handball, bowling, savate, tennis, tae- kwon-do and fitness) who have participated in additional education within their sport. The research sample included a total of 121 respondents. Generic kinesiological competencies were assessed using a composite measuring instrument, a questionnaire on trainers' kinesiological competencies where coaches made a self-evaluation of their value orientations according to their attitudes about acquired generic kinesiological competencies needed to conduct the training process with athletes. A questionnaire with a total of 36 particles was used for the research. For each statement, participants provided answers on a four-point Likert scale. The obtained data were processed with basic descriptive statistics and factor analysis. After data processing, four latent dimensions were defined that describe the area of acquired generic kinesiological competencies of coaches during the process of additional education within their sports. The obtained latent dimensions are defined as: Ability to conduct the training process, Ability to socially responsible behaviour, Recognition of individual characteristics of athletes and Factor of communication skills. The results indicate the importance of lifelong education.
