Sažetak
The author’s preoccupation with kinetic architecture began a long time ago with the question: Can architecture be mobile too? This provocative question has remained latently present in his projects until today, and some of the designs presented here are his partial answers to the challenge of contemplating a building created in the way of a machine – as Kinetic Architecture. The presented projects are excerpts from the book: Andrija Mutnjaković. Kinetička arhitektura / Kinetic Architecture, Zagreb 1995. All texts, drawings, sketches, graphic visualizations, models and photographs of models of the presented projects were created as part of the study of works prepared for tenders. Tender projects were made in the formats specified by the tenderers: Homobil 100 × 70 cm ; Kineticdome 70 × 100 cm ; Ornitottero 70 × 100 cm ; Flower-house 100 × 200 cm. Since these draft formats are not suitable for publication in a book, all drafts have been photographically and digitally recorded, and published in the author’s books in segments: photo recordings in the book Kinetička arhitektura / Kinetic Architecture, Zagreb 1995 ; and digital recordings in the book Intencijska arhitektura / Intentional Architecture, Zagreb 2018. The exhibits in this folder were composed with the same digital recordings. The original texts were then translated into English with errors corrected by recent proofreading. The initial reticulated model of the Domobil was not photographed at the time but has recently been photographed for presentation in this map.
