Gide's Journals as a first-person writing platform are here questioned by the slightly different discourses of Gide's "Le Ramier", a so-called sincere and scandalous story of his erotic encounter with a young man, and "L'Envers du Journal de Gide" where the young François Derais wants to reveal the downside of this imperative of "literary sincerity" of the old André Gide.
