Zagreb: `kolska knjiga SUMMARY Methodoligical elaboration of the poem  Vowels by Arthura Rimbaud as encouragement to develop stundents intellectual, imagination and creative capabilities The paper deals with the methodological preparation and interpretation of a unit and the presentation of the stundents assignments in which the modern creative methods have been appplied. The recent didactic and methodological systems  put forward students and teachers creative participation (D. Rosandi:  Literary education methodology ) whereby education is seen as  a joint activity of students and teachers . The most important determinant in the value system is  creative beahviour and work of teachers and their encouragement of similar behaviour on the part of students&  Teachers creative work is reflected in their creation of the situations in the classroom that encourage and develop students creative behaviour. The methodological elaboration of the poem  Vowels by A. Rimbaud is presented as encouragement to develop students intellectual, imagination and creative capabilities. In class the students applied brainstorming and cinquine (five-foot rhyme) and out of class cluster, visualization and posters coloured in the style of the Rimbaud s vowels that expressed their associations for every vowel. The dynamic contrasts of beautiful and ugly are the topic of the first five posters. The reflections of Rimbaud s  theory of coloured hearing are the topic of the next five posters. The third-grade students from the Matija Mesi High School proved that they are able to participate in a class organized according to the principles of creative and research-based education. Die neuen didaktisch-methodischen Systeme stellen die schpferische Ttigkeit der Schler/-innen und  Lehrer/-innen in den Vordergrund (D. Rosandi:  Die Methoden des sprachlichen Unterrichts ).
