Sažetak
It is well known that the phenomena of migration is becoming increasingly relevant in the last decades. Especially from 2015, the refugee crisis has prompted numerous debates on migration, refugees, integration, etc. In the first part of the paper, we give an overview of legal and institutional framework of the Republic of Croatia regarding integration of migrants and we try to make some conclusions on the efficiency of national integration policies. The second part presents the research insights of the project ''Creating Welcoming Communities''. The aim of the research was to identify the students’ attitudes on acceptance and integration of migrants. The target group of survey was defined so as to include students of different levels (Integrated Undergraduate and Graduate Study programme, Professional Administrative Study Programme, University Undergraduate Study of Social Work) and the sample of students included 300 persons. Finally, in the third part of the paper the recommendations for further development of integration policies in the Republic of Croatia are proposed.
