Sažetak
The topic of this thesis is the reliability of ship’s diesel engine M 503 A-2 using System’s dynamics method. This method has proven very effective for the simulation of particularly complicated models such as the reliability of ship’s diesel engine. One of the systems that can be found on all ships is the propeller propulsion system with its subsystems, which provides manoeuvre capability, navigation speed and in individual cases supplying electrical energy to all ship systems. The reliable function of the main engine and the ship usage depend on each other. The safe and reliable operation of the main engines ensures the completion of a task. Computer simulation model of the reliability of ship’s diesel engine M 503 A-2 is dynamic, non- linear, random, continuous model of a high- level, very close to the observed object. Modifications can be performed on the model regarding dynamic analysis of present, past and future with the aim of preventing unpleasant and unwanted surprises as well as implementing possible improvements.
