Sažetak
The present could not be imagined without plastics and rubber, and every day new possibilities for their application are found. The Croatian plastics and rubber industry, once an important industrial branch, has found itself in great crisis. The number of companies and employees and the volume of production have been significantly reduced over the last twelve years. Since this is a branch which world-wide not only makes increase in profits, but also increase in the number of the employed, a way should be found to make this happen in Croatia as well. The work presents, apart from the basic data in this industrial branch, the current state in processing of plastics and rubber in the Republic of Croatia.
