Sažetak
This paper highlights specific statistics on population projections in the Central and Eastern European Countries, compared with achievements of EU-27 countries. Besides, attention is on examples of active participation of the elderly as an indicator of the solidarity degree and of impact of active ageing on labour market and phased transition to retirement. Furthermore, the aim of this chapter is to give concrete suggestions of financial packages through the working period that would mainly be used by the elderly. It is worthy of mentioning that given suggestions are not limited only to the elderly – they can be used also by potential users of other age groups. So, the key contribution is considered in raising importance of active participation of elderly and recommendations of adequate financial packages and opportunities.
