The bachelor thesis describes Digital Image Correlation, an optical experimental testing method that provides strain distribution of deformed object. Basic theoretical background with all relevant equation is given, followed by example of tension test. With the goal of proving the obtained strain distribution, extensionmeter is included and results of both strain measuring methods are compared
