Sažetak
In order to provide a comfortable microclimate for a specific end-user, textile experts must define specifics for each type of sportswear, as well as to obtain feedback from the practitioner regarding specific issues. This papers focuses at investigation of knitted fabrics intended for the production of swimwear. For this purpose, a set of knitted fabrics is exposed to natural aging according to different aging protocols. Afterwards, the following properties are tested: thickness, surface mass, bending length, wetting duration and drying duration. The results of investigation indicated increase of fabric thickness for up to 10 % after the aging in the sea water. The exposure of knitted fabrics to aging in the swimming pool also caused increase of thickness, but this increase is less prominent than the one caused by aging in the seawater. The fabric wetting and drying duration follow previously described trend.
