Sažetak
The ageing of sportswear materials provides the basis for the investigation of material performance under particular conditions typical for each sport. Previous investigations indicated that materials can be of high quality and perform optimally in the majority of global conditions, but still be inadequate in specific conditions of sports training. Therefore, materials intended for the production of sportswear should be tested under conditions that typify the environment in which the sportswear is expected to perform. The investigation presented in this paper focuses on the investigation of a set of materials used for the production of sportswear for professional and amateur training. For the purpose of the experiment is defined an ageing protocol that corresponds to the conditions under which indoor football is trained. Selected materials are exposed to ageing under the defined protocol. Both non-aged and aged materials are tested for a number of important properties, among which fabric thickness, surface mass, wetting rate, drying velocity, and bursting strength. In the manuscript is discussed the material deterioration due to ageing affected by material specifics and further guidelines for the production of adequate sportswear that will perform optimally are given.
