Sažetak
Globalization and the modern way of life have led to a new type of pure architectural and aesthetics standards and along the way, they removed the distinctive elements of tradition in the interiors and exteriors of rural and urban buildings. The value and appreciation of traditional building and interior design based on rich and specific heritage in Croatia is often neglected today as well. At the same time, local public events such as Advent events, Christmas fairs, summer festivals, or other themed events usually need small movable cottages/displays used as a booth for all kind of shops for goods and services. Those booths are often impersonal so the tourists can't feel the impression of the culture or heritage of the city. The aim of the paper is to collect and present visual, aesthetic and particularly wooden constructional details used in traditional constructions in different Croatia regions as the main inspirations for the next step in design concepts of local stands. To reach the goal, different literature and data will be reviewed, photos will be collected and a few experts in the field of heritage, traditional construction and interior design will be interviewed. The data presented will be used as the main inspirations for the design of a small and movable contemporary stand for public spaces based on stylistic, aesthetic and structural components specific to each studied region of Croatia.
