Sažetak
Increased international and intergovernmental attention to the protection of Critical Infrastructure (CI) provides opportunities for the private sector. Over the last two decades, there has been a considerable increase in the number of private sector companies providing risk consultancy and private security services to clients with regional and global CI interests. Private (Military) and Security Companies (PMSC) play an increasing role in the provision of security services within the region and beyond. Increasingly, national governments and international organizations are identifying strategies to protect CI. The protection of CI is a delicate and complex issue at the international level. CI is vital for national security and requires robust protection from a range of evolving threats ranging from cyber-attacks to natural disasters and man-made accidents. This creates a window of opportunity for PMSC to provide strategic services.
