Sažetak
The article looks at the causes of women’s subordination to society and feminism. The first part provides an overview of the subordination of women in the patriarchally ordered society, which was tailor-made only for men. The second part pro- vides an outlook on the history of feminism, its stages of development and its contribu - tion to the social emancipation of women. The third part deals with the “gender theory”, which created “gender feminism” and which itself, ideologically motivated and based on pseudo-scientific facts, has become the leader of the feminist movement. The fourth part discusses the “new feminism” advocated by John Paul II, which has been proposed as a response from the Church to the emerging situation.
