Both in the academic and public spheres, Vaništa is known as a renowned Croatian painter, graphic artist, writer, academic and one of the founders of the Gorgona art group. Despite not receiving much mention for his work as a university professor of drawing and modeling, Vaništa has raised many generations of Croatian architects.
