Sažetak
Many different types of problems can be encountered in education of programming and especially in introductory programming courses. Students feel that programming is too abstract and they frequently have low levels of knowledge during and after finishing programming courses. Problems in introductory and other programming courses have been known for years and any conclusive long term solution has not yet been presented. One of the important aspects that play an important role in education is both intrinsic and extrinsic motivation. Intrinsic and extrinsic motivation can be altered by various innovative means of teaching. In this paper an approach that includes visualization techniques in order to make programming less abstract and to increase intrinsic motivation of students is presented and discussed.
