Sažetak
Implementing 5S methodology is the first step in the Lean transformation of production business systems. Well managed 5S projects, supported by top management buy-in and timely provision of all necessary resources can significantly boost efficiency of the production process and the overall business system. Two research studies have been conducted pertaining to a project of implementing 5S methodology in a domestic business system. Both surveys have suggested a high level of employee satisfaction with 5S activities and with the impacts of 5S projects on workplaces, new work space conditions and employee safety. The 5S implementation project conducted at the observed company has resulted in synergy effects and long-term impacts which laid the groundwork for future organisational culture change in the direction towards digital transformation.
