Sažetak
The talk focuses on characteristics of scientific theories, and on the (im)possibility of social science theory to fulfil these conditions. In his influential book Making Social Science Matter (2001), Bent Flyvbjerg outlined an alternative approach called phronetic social science. Phronetic approach is not restricted to analytical and technical knowledge but also includes practical knowledge and value- rationality. It is particularly relevant to the case study methodology.
