Sažetak
Weed communities in conventionally grown olive orchard and in consociation with pyrethrum were analyzed on the experimental plots of the Institute of Agriculture and Tourism in Poreč. A phytocenological surveys were obtained in March, June and September using Braun-Blanquet cover- abundance scale. Altogether, 54 speciies of vascular plants were recognized in both orchards. However, in conventionaly grown olive orchard there were 27, and in consociatium with pyrethrum 42 weed species identified. Common to both orchards were only 15 weeds. Significant differences regarding floristic and community diversity metrics existed between both olive orchards. In consociation with pyrethrum as a cover crop, olive orchard have more stabile weed community over the season, while in conventionaly grown orchard two weed species Mercurialis annuua L. and Medicag arabica (L.) Huds. dominated in fall. Weed community in both orchards significantly differ considering season of appearance (spring, summer, fall). Fall weed community in conventionally grown olive orchard was more diverse, abundant and with more different floristic composition than weed community in spring and summer period. However, olive orchard weed community in consociation with pyrethrum also differ regarding the season, but CCA analysis shows a clear separation of more diverse summer weed community than it was is spring and summer.
