Sažetak
The purpose of this research is to point out the increase of online tourist services and the impact that this fact has on the stimulation of tourist arrival and tourist experience by tour operators. Therefore, the main hypothesis of the paper is that in times of global uncertainty and high competition in the tourism industry, only those market players who know how to manage change will be excluded or re- accepted (reintermed). The same will not be possible without public-private partnerships. Recent pandemic events haves shown the strength of its influence to overal tourism development and the fragility of tourism stakeholders. The article gives an insight to tour operators and their need to adopt to changed market as well as to emphasize the importance of cooperation with public sector for a rounded development approach. A comparison of Croatian and Swiss practice shows different models of market approach. Finally, articles provides different steps for partnership model between destinations and tour operators.
