Sažetak
This research paper touches upon the limitations that women face before entering high leadership positions, glass ceiling effect, queen bee effect, stereotypes, marital choice, performance and perception of female executives in business world today. Many researchers have discussed these topics, while majority of them emphasis importance of self-perception and actualization. The purpose of this research is to clarify the different perceptions and performances of female executives and what contributed to their success and to identify the self-perception of women in leadership positions and their perception of glass ceiling effect in Croatia. This study differs from previous studies because it is conducted in Croatia. Both questionnaires and interviews were used for this study in order to gather more information and to have more participants.
