Sažetak
The development of stages of forest trees (sallow, common spruce and beech tree) and field flowers (colts-foot, saffron, dandelion and autumn crocus) were analyzed on Zavižan in the period 1964-1990. The Zavižan region is located on the Velebit mountain, about 130 km of Zagreb, at 1.5 km altitude. Temperature and precipitation fluctuations cause a large variation in commencement and duration of individual phenological stages. Therefore, from year to year difference in commencement of some growth stages could reach even 3 weeks. A comparative analysis of the phenological data of considered plants and meteorological data show that not only important accumulated heat in the vegetation period but also a thermal regime in the colder season.
