Sažetak
There are several technologies of additive manufacturing, but the most popular, and most commonly used one is the fused filament fabrication (FFF). FFF technology manufactures using thermoplastic filaments, melting them and applying them with a movable nozzle. Other very popular technology is stereolithography (SLA), which is an additive manufacturing technology used to produce models and prototypes using photochemical processes in which light causes curing of polymer resins. After the SLA process finishes, model remains on the platform in the so called „green state“, which means that despite the fact that the sample has taken its final shape, the polymerization process is not completely finished. Post-curing treatment exposes parts to light and heat, and strengthens crosslinks in the polymer structure. This study examined mechanical properties of some of the most frequently used materials for FFF and SLA. The test samples are made on the FFF Zortrax M200 and SLA Formlabs Form 2 3D printers. FFF materials used in the study are D-ABS, Z-PCABS, Z- ULTRAT, Z-HIPS, D-PET G and Z- GLASS, while Clear and High temp are polyacrylate resins used for SLA. Mechanical properties were tested with regard to the angle of printing the test samples in relation to the print bed of 0°, 45° and 90°, and with regard of various shapes and sizes of test samples, modelled in program according to ISO standard. In addition, post- curing treatment duration was varied and morphology of some test samples was investigated. Analysis of the mechanical properties obtained by tensile test shows that for the FFF printed samples the best print angle is 0° and 90° the worst. Analysis of the SLA samples shows the dependence of mechanical properties on post-curing time, and on print angle. By increasing the time of post-curing, samples become stiffer and their strength increased. Analysis of the SLA printing angle showed different maximum strengths and stretching values.
