Sažetak
The occurrence of the invasive alien species Corythucha arcuata in Croatia and damage to the leaf surface of pedunculated oaks, opens many questions in regard to natural forest regeneration and fructification of pedunculated oak stands. It is necessary to establish a correlation between physiological weakening of pedunculated oak, and the presence of oak lace bug swarms, feeding on every leaf throughout oak stands. This research is focused on analysing nursery acorn germination, the morphological and physiological properties of pedunculated oak seedlings 1+0, grown from seed collected from regions both infested and un- infested with oak lace bug. The parameters utilised in this research were: the beginning of seedling germination, nursery seedling germination by the week, overall nursery germination, and height of seedlings, root neck diameter, form of seedling and chlorophyll fluorescence. Oak seed samples were collected from clonal seed orchards and seed stands in two forest administrations. Experimental plots were established in nursery 'Zalužje', FA Vinkovci and 'Forest garden and arboretumu' of the Faculty of Forestry at the University of Zagreb. Data collecting on the above mentioned parameters was conducted after the germination period in July 2018. All procedures for the protection and care of seedlings were coordinated and conducted simultaneously on both experimental plots from the beginning until the end of the vegetation period in 2018.
