'When I ask my students what human dignity is, no one really knows what to answer, but all of them feel what it is. I have realized that this is very similar to honesty, which is also hard to describe, but we all know what it encompasses. Law is the same thing: Is it just a system of norms, or relations of power, or governance, or rules and sanctions? It is all of that and much more. Law, honesty, and dignity mean so much more we can express, but we all feel a fullness and a deep-rounded meaning of all of them.'
