Sažetak
Three leading ideas of Chomsky's linguistics, naturalism, internalism and nativism, all of which figure prominently in SPE, are ignored or even explicitly rejected in much post-SPE phonological work. We argue that not taking these ideas seriously, both in theory and in practice, is detrimental to the development of contemporary phonological theory.
